For the press
The EMpulse Street FX Index is a daily index of street exchange rates of emerging-market currencies against the US dollar — the rate people actually pay where the official rate is managed, lagging or unavailable. Data and a comment are available to journalists on request.
How to cite
Name the source as EMpulse Street FX Index and link the currency page:
"EMpulse Street FX Index, https://empulse.ai/rates/<CUR>, data as of <date>"
Every figure on the site and in the API carries the day it refers to, a confidence class (high / medium / limited) and the number of independent market sources behind it. Rates are local currency per 1 US dollar (USDT counted as one dollar); a rising number means the currency weakened. Public pages carry a one-day delay. Street rates are not official or interbank rates and are not investment advice.
EM Street FX Weekly
Every Monday: the top moves of the week, the premium over the official rate, stress signals, the events that moved street FX, and one quotable sentence per currency with a link to its chart.
Who we are
EMpulse is a data company. The index combines transaction-based market data with quotes from independent public market sources, weighted by the reliability each source has earned; the methodology is public (PDF), as is the accuracy record. The index is served through the REST API, as CSV, and as tools for AI assistants over the Model Context Protocol (https://api.empulse.ai/mcp).
