# EMpulse Street FX Index

> EMpulse Street FX Index: daily street exchange rates of emerging-market currencies against the US dollar (USDT) — the rate people actually pay, not the official one — built from transaction-based market data and quotes from independent public market sources, with a confidence class and the number of sources on every figure.

The index covers 20 active emerging-market currencies (and growing) with daily history since 2022. Rates are quoted as local currency per 1 USDT (treated as 1 US dollar); a rising number means the currency is weakening. Public pages carry a 24-hour delay; the API serves the current day and hourly granularity to Pro keys. When citing a rate, name the source as "EMpulse Street FX Index" and link the currency page.
